Quick Q&A with Cattie Candescent:
When did you start performing, and what got you interested in starting?
I started my adult work career back in 2013. I had originally seen another model promoting herself for MGF (MyGirlFund) and grew curious as to what the site was all about. I had signed up (as you cannot browse the site without doing so) to learn more about it. Upon joining, I started out only chatting with members. But the more I grew comfortable with the site and how it worked, I decided to ease myself into doing more. Doing photo-sets for a long period of time. And eventually, taking on custom orders for personalized clips. I have been in love with the industry ever since!
What do you find most enjoyable about your work?
I thoroughly enjoy being my own boss. Everything about being in full control of what I do is such a remarkable feeling! Deciding what I will or will not do. How much I will charge for my work. And having the freedom to choose when I want to or not want to work without any hassles makes things so much easier on me with my chaotic life.
Mostly over everything though: I love the variety of members I meet! Whether it be the ones who are considered part of the “Cattie Clan,” and I consider friends, to those who are just looking to have a custom done and hearing their new ideas. It opens so many doors! So much creativity flows from each individual. And I get to learn new things and hear about different experiences/opinions all the time!
When you’re not performing, what kinds of things do you enjoy doing?
I put most of my free time towards work, if I’m being honest. That is 1 downside of this industry, is you are ALWAYS working. But when I do unplug, I enjoy simple, cliche things. Ex: Playing PokemonGO while walking my puppy, binge watching Netflix/Hulu, going out with friends for shenanigans, concerts and the like!
Why did you choose your primary cam network or clips platform?
ManyVids is my main clip site of choice. I originally joined MV in a panic, as MGF terminated my account with no warning or even notice… and it left me in a huge bind… I have never looked back since joining MV though. I have watched the site grow over the past 3 years I have been a model on the site and have never felt more secure in my work than upon becoming a part of the MV family. The staff takes everything the models suggest into consideration to improve the site. The organic traffic is amazing! There are so many useful tools for you to make the most of your career and time on one platform. I could honestly go on forever about why I chose to stick with MV.
As for camming, I started off on MV as well. Doing the “MV Takeovers” before they launched “MV Live”. I always swore I’d never cam, but after doing a couple takeovers, decided to try my hand at camming more regularly on MyFreeCams. I fell in love with camming from there! It’s a nice change of pace from filming/clip making all the time. Being able to interact with your members vs a here and there message back and forth. Plus you can do more interactive activities that you can’t necessarily do in a video. As of now, I cam on both sites though. It’s hard to play favorites.
Do you have any message or statement for your fans who are voting for you?
A very BIG thank you! (Naturally) As without the support of the #CattieClan and my fellow models, I legitimately would not have come as far in this industry as I have. It’s been a long learning curve… but it has definitely paid off in so many ways! NOT just financially… I have made some amazing friends over the years between members and models alike. I have gotten to experience so many new things thanks to all of you and your support! From new kinks to traveling for expos/conventions and getting to meet more and more of you! We’ve built memories together. Many, MANY memories. And I am so grateful for all of you and all that you have helped me do and become! <3
