Quick Q&A with Ellie Idol:
When did you start performing, and what got you interested in starting?
I started performing in 2006 for Dorm Angels making solo and girl/girl content. After making a modeling profile, I was later contacted by an agent to star in hardcore sex scenes. I’ve been in scenes from Bang Bros, New Sensations, ATKingdom and many more! I had a boyfriend back then who I’d watch porn with and I thought to myself, “How hot would it be if we could watch ourselves instead?” And so I went for it! I no longer work for other companies but instead produce my own content from the comfort of my home. I love what I do for a living and I’m glad I chose this path because not only is it fun, but I’ve met some really cool, inspiring people in this industry!
What do you find most enjoyable about your work?
I really enjoy being my own boss and working from home. I hear my friends and family complain about their jobs almost every time I talk to them, and I just can’t help but think how fortunate I really am. I get to be creative daily, I make my own hours, and I don’t even have to change out of pajamas on editing days! Plus, I have no commute unless I’m visiting another producer to collaborate. People will always try to shame us for what we do, but it doesn’t matter, because most of us are doing what we want to be doing and loving it!
When you’re not performing, what kinds of things do you enjoy doing?
I usually am producing new content daily which leaves little time for play, but in my spare time, I enjoy crafting. Right now I’m working on finishing my Poison Ivy cosplay. So far I’ve sewn thousands of leaves onto a bodysuit, boots, and gloves and I’m still not finished. I’ve had to have spend hundreds of hours on this already with all the hand stitching I’ve done. I plan to start making my own armor here soon once I finish my current project. Aside from that, I game when I can or go to shows with my girlfriends.
Why did you choose your primary cam network or clips platform?
I chose iWantClips as my primary clips platform because they really take care of their producers. They have from what I’ve seen the largest payouts of any clip site and they’re constantly having giveaways that differ from the way the other websites do it. They don’t just reward the same content creators over and over like most clip sites do, they make sure that new producers get exposure too. They also do a weekly email blast promoting WOC and I think that’s very important. If anyone has ever been to their booth at AVN, one could easily see how well they treat their studios which is why they’ll always be my preferred clips platform.
Do you have any message or statement for your fans who are voting for you?
I think my fans are all wonderful for taking the time out of their day to sign up and vote for me daily. It really does mean a lot to be recognized for my hard work with my first nomination ever. Thank you!
