Quick Q&A with Ember Snow:
When did you start performing, and what got you interested in starting?
I started in late February 2017. Actually, outside of porn, I am a mainstream film producer and it was getting really hard to raise the money for film projects without being sexually harassed all the time. So, I decided to do porn to a) raise money for my mainstream projects and b) explore my sexuality in a safe environment. While I am still very dedicated to my mainstream work, I love porn so much that I also want to continue performing and producing work in this genre as well.
What do you find most enjoyable about your work?
In mainstream Hollywood, it’s so competitive. You go from gig to gig, no one knows you, the guys all just want to fuck you, there’s no pay unless you are a name or a SAG member and you find yourself constantly begging for work or being rejected. In porn, if you conduct yourself with a high degree of professionalism, then everyone will want to work with you, the money is great and consistent, and you actually feel like people care about you. All the guys still want to fuck you, but your power to say “no” multiplies very quickly.
When you’re not performing, what kinds of things do you enjoy doing?
I cam and shoot porn so much that there is little time to do much else than eat and sleep. But when I do get some breaks, I love to watch movies, binge-watch TV shows and play video games. I’ve also been able to travel a lot more so I have been getting out and seeing more of the country lately.
Why did you choose your primary cam network or clips platform?
To be honest, it was kind of random. I was very disappointed with a different cam company (one of the biggest in the industry) because I felt that there were too many guys getting free shows and it made the paying customers reluctant to tip more. So, I checked out Streamate. I liked that I got to set the rates and that you are not pushed to do anything X-Rated in the public room. Every show is a paid show. And their bonuses sometimes makes up for the % of commission they take.
Do you have any message or statement for your fans who are voting for you?
This is my very first nomination for anything since I got into the industry, so this means the absolute world to me. For those of you who love my work in porn, winning an award like this will put me on the radar for the bigger companies and will tell the other companies I work for that they should book me more often.
